It has long been my wish to offer a series of experiential workshops to teach and share with participants simple and effective ways to recognize and smooth the flow of events in and around themselves, their relationships and their work. This program is based on the Chinese Five Element Acupuncture theory which forms the foundation of my professional background.

As I mention on this website, health is more than the absence of disease, and well-being is more than the absence of symptoms. According to the Chinese, true health has to do with a state of balance and harmony in all levels of our being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, as well as externally with the world at large.

The Seasons, which are seen as energetic movements in Nature in their cycle of change and transformation, are particularly important as they affect all living things including us human beings, and are reflected in their/our behaviour. Insight into the unique character of each season, that sustains life and gives the whole of Nature, ourselves included, a sense of purpose, growth and fulfillment, will enhance our ability to grasp the wealth of detail that surrounds us and lives within us.

The Chinese discerned five basic phases of Nature which they linked to the Seasons naming them: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. They are linked respectively to Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Participants will, first of all, discover, learn about and experience each of the Five Elements and the corresponding relationships to our own selves (five evenings). This will be followed by a Seasonal workshop over two sessions, to go deeper into a particular Season, to learn how its wisdom and power can enhance our life and health.

Please note : due to an insufficient number of applicants the autumn series did not go ahead. For those interested, another opportunity in 2012 might be possible.

Do watch this space for further details.
